Since its beginning, the congregation now known as Wesley Church has truly practiced both of these definitions. Members of The Little White Church organized community suppers designed to bring people into their congregations. Centenary members started several other Methodist congregations in the City of Minneapolis. |

Wesley's congregations led the way in changing the Methodist church's outlook on women before the turn of the last century and have continued reaching out far beyond their immediate reach. Civic leaders in the early 1900's considered Wesley to represent one of the four pilars upon which the advancement of civilization was to be based. Continuing in that tradition, Wesley Church provided jobs and meals for those caught in the Depression, opened the first Psychodrama in this city to help people in it's community deal with everyday living and continues to reach far beyond the walls of its present building through the programs listed to the right. |
