Wesley Church has hosted a Saturday meal program for the poor and homeless since the 1960s.  Each Saturday the program brings together Wesley Church, other volunteer churches or organizations, and people in need for a time of fellowship and dinner.  Over 6,000 meals are served each year through this program.

Every Saturday, a volunteer church under the direction of Wesley volunteers comes to Wesley, cooks, and serves a meal for the poor.  The Church volunteers come from all over the Twin Cities area.  Wesley is the host for every meal, providing coordinators and volunteers to work with the organization providing the meal.

Service with Dignity

There's no food line at Wesley. Our guests are invited in and seated at tables that are set, just as we would for our own family-complete with table cloths and silverware.   Food is served by the volunteers and the volunteers sit with the guests for the meal.

It's not a soup kitchen.  Wesley has maintained high standards for the food.   The meal is always a complete meal.  The meal begins at 11:30  a.m. and is usually completed by 1:00 p.m.

Want to Volunteer?

Is your church or organization interested in volunteering?  Or, are you interested in helping with Saturday Meals?  Call the church office at 612-871-3585 and let us know of your interest.  One of the Saturday Meals coordinators will return your call.
